چکیده
Internet-Drafts are working documents of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), its areas, and its working groups. Note that other groups may also distribute working documents as Internet-Drafts. Internet-Drafts are draft documents valid for a maximum of six months and may be updated, replaced, or obsoleted by other documents at any time. It is inappropriate to use Internet-Drafts as reference material or to cite them other than as "work in progress." Abstract This document describes an extension to the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) for publishing event state used within the framework for SIP Event Notification. The first application of this extension is targeted at the publication of presence information. The mechanism described in this document can be extended to support publication of any event state, for which there exists an appropriate event package. It is not intended to be a general-purpose mechanism for transport of arbitrary data, as there are better-suited mechanisms for this purpose

This document recommends practices and conventions for identifying end users in SIP messages, and proposes a way to distribute cryptographically-secure authenticated identities. Peterson...
